This was an ambitious project which involved the transformation of a previously derelict mid 19th century South County Dublin seaside house, with its small dark rooms we transformed them into a series of natural light filled, differently articulated interior spaces which now display a well considered material usage and finish.
Cutting away a large section of floor plate in a bold intervention makes for the projects show stopping double height entrance library which together with entirely new circulation routes means this reimagined property is experienced in a new and memorable way.
A limited number of materials were used namely Beech, carrara marble and stainless steel.
This project won gold at the 2015 IDI awards which was judged by an internationally acclaimed panel.
